Application
Is the PE film in your home transparent enough?
In the field of PE blown film, transparency is a key yardstick for measuring product quality. How can we make the film clearer and brighter while maintaining excellent processing performance? Our modified precipitated barium sulfate is precisely your "secret weapon" in pursuit of high light transmittance.
It stems from the strict control over each technical indicator:
(1) High purity, clearing the way for light transmission
Transparency primarily stems from the purity of the raw materials. Our product has a dry barium sulfate content as high as 98.5%, with extremely low key impurity content. The iron content is only 0.001%, and the moisture content is controlled at 0.09%. This means that it hardly introduces impurities that affect light, laying a pure foundation for the high light transmittance of the film.

(2) Key particle size control to achieve direct light transmission
One of the core secrets to enhanced transparency lies in precise particle size control. The particle size D50 of our barium sulfate reaches 0.3μm, which is much smaller than the wavelength of visible light. When the particle size is within this range, it can minimize the scattering of visible light to the greatest extent, allowing light to pass through the film more directly, thereby significantly reducing haze and enhancing transparency and clarity.
(3) Excellent fineness and dispersibility to prevent light scattering
When fillers aggregate or are unevenly dispersed in the film, they become tiny "obstacles", causing light scattering and resulting in fogging and whitening. Our barium sulfate features excellent fineness (0.01% residue on 45μm sieve) and appropriate oil absorption (17.5g /100g), which ensures uniform and stable nanoscale dispersion in the PE matrix, significantly reducing light scattering caused by particles and greatly enhancing the clarity of the film.
(4) Stable neutrality, compatible with the process
The pH value of its water suspension is 7.0, which is neutral. This ensures that no unnecessary chemical reactions occur with polyethylene or other additives during processing, and it has good process adaptability and more stable production.
(5) High whiteness, brightening the background color
The 99% whiteness not only makes barium sulfate itself pure white in color, but also acts as a "brightening plate", effectively enhancing the visual brightness and vividness of the film, making the colors of the packaged contents more realistic and prominent.
In conclusion, through pure chemical composition, fine physical particles and excellent compatibility, our modified precipitated barium sulfate can effectively reduce the haze of PE films, enhance light transmittance and surface gloss, making your film products look more upscale and transparent.
