01. Solid data, quality speaks.
✔ Ultra-high purity: BaSO₄ content ≥ 98% - Minimal impurities, effectively reducing the risk of coating bubbles and yellowing, providing a more solid foundation.
✔ Ultrafine particles: The average particle size is 0.4-0.5 micrometers (μm), much finer than that of common barium sulfate (usually 1-2μm), making it easier to disperse evenly and allowing for more full performance.
✔ High brightness: Whiteness/brightness ≥ 98% - High inherent whiteness, providing an excellent base color for the coating.
✔ Pure and free of residue: 325-mesh sieve residue = 0% - no large particle impurities, first-class dispersion, and smoother production.
02. Process treatment: Inorganic coating
This barium sulfate has undergone a special high-temperature wet process treatment, and its surface is coated with an inorganic oxide film, just like putting on a "protective suit" for the particles.
This film has two magical functions:
1. Super strong dispersion, preventing agglomeration - The surface of barium sulfate particles carries a positive charge, which is different from the charge of other pigment particles and repels each other, preventing them from sticking together (similar to the repulsion of like poles in magnets).
In coatings (such as alkyd resins), a protective resin film is also adsorbed on the surface of the particles. When it comes into contact with water, a double electric layer is formed, making it easier for the particles to disperse and preventing them from clumping and settling.
2. Enhance covering power and gloss - The inorganic coating is like a small mirror, reflecting more light and making the coating look brighter and more vivid in color.
At the same time, the better the particles are dispersed, the stronger the covering power of the coating will be (just like evenly sprinkled powder can better cover the base color than clumped powder), so the same effect can be achieved with less pigment, reducing costs.
