It is used as a raw material or filler for paint, ink, plastic, advertising, pigment, cosmetics battery, and as a filler and reinforcement in rubber products, as a filler and weighting agent in polyvinyl chloride resin, printing paper and surface coating agent for art paper, sizing agent for textile industry. It can be used as clarifiers for glass products, which can defoam and increase gloss. It can be used as a protective wall material for anti-radiation. Precipitated barium sulfate is also used in industries such as ceramics, enamels, fragrances and pigments.
